DJU Drone Club
Mobile application for online streaming from drones
PROJECT OBJECTIVE
The Doubletapp team was given the task of creating a mobile application for both DJU drone owners and ordinary viewers, fans of video broadcasts from drones. The main goal is to create a community for the above users, where they can communicate with each other, conduct online broadcasts while piloting drones and share the live stream with viewers.
RESULT
We developed the design, made nice animations and developed a mobile app prototype according to the task.
After logging into the applications, the user gets access to videos and online broadcasts of other drone owners. He can be a simple viewer, watch broadcasts, communicate with other users, leave comments and write posts in the community block. Or he can connect to his drone and start his own broadcast.
To connect to a drone, you must provide a unique DJU drone ID, after which the system determines the weight of the device. In the event that the drone weighs more than 55 pounds (25 kg), the application asks for a special FFA license number, certifying the person’s right to fly the aircraft. Drones up to 55 pounds automatically connect to the app without unnecessary prompts and allow the user to start live streaming.
